Great result, for you and hopefully for Fax.

We would love to get Widnes back at the shay in play offs, the only championship side to fill our away end, unlike the overated scu??? cumbrians :P

Her idiotic dad/brother

knowing what they are like up in haven this person was probably her dad and her brother, it's got to be either the fact that they are inbred or the radiation that makes them the way they are

Yeh my wife is one of the carers and her grandmother 1 of the cared for and had to sit seperately for the meal because they were 2 minutes to late to get the table that had been RESERVED for them. Despite this the lads did them proud ;-)

and incase the LADY is reading this that accused them of only being there because it was free they are both season ticket holders and in the case of my wifes grandmother has been longer than you have been alive you disrespectful miscreant,

rant over up the chemics

great performance : Sat Aug 22, 2009 9:35 pm
One thing that made a huge difference today was the number of times we slipped the ball out in the tackle. It reminded me of the best games we played under Steve McCormack.

I don't know anything about the problem with wid fans and carer's seats.

I was appalled at the language from some Haven fans, but the fans sat one seat away from me gave me no grief whatsoever, not so much as a dirty look.

I thought Haven were pretty damn dirty on the pitch though.

No sour grapes there then lol

I await the balanced and neutral match reports in the Whitehave local press with anticipation :)

I'm always reluctant to tar fans with the same brush but Whitehaven year after year seem to exhibit this behaviour from the fans to the coaches to their local press. It's always someone elses fault.

an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

Top draw that was. Probably the game I have enjoyed the most this season. And yes I include nrc final too. Fletch, Morrison and Doran were class today, really were. Had to credit all of them, young Paddy also had a blinder IMO. We were inventive today, threw it out from time to time and always looked dangerous, quick around the ruck today and caused lots of problems. Thacks and Webster, class. Haven came to rough us up, and we rose above it and beat them fair and square.

As for the Haven following, the mini bus that came were down the opposite end to us, so didn't see much of the alleged goings on, but what a bunch of sister shagging numpties. One of their 'hard knocks' threatened my mate in the concourse apparently just prior to HT.Although everytime I have been to the rec, I have noticed they all seem to have a chip on their shoulder about something. Cumbrian version o Warrington by the looks of it.

Agreed I thought it was Websters best game in a Widnes shirt
Fantastic he was, everything about his game running with the ball, passing, kicking etc where top draw
I've seen Websters sometimes as mr average as Vikingman as pointed out before and often thought is he worth his salary as probably our highest earner but he did prove me wrong and showed me and probably a lot of other vikings supporters that he still good some left in him :D

i found it a good game to show our potential.. after losing to both Fev and barrow previously its nice to show what we can do when we play!! i agree totally with everyone who says the players came out in style..

im not looking forward to finding out who we get in the playoffs tbh.. would prefer a home game but i am doubtful of that.. but ah well.. roll on playoffs.. the nice few weeks off will help.. time to suprise more people of what the little town of widnes can do!!
