Just remember to take everything the RFL says with a huge pinch of salt - I think the last 'round' of applications should have taught us that.

Exactly my thoughts. Everyone thinks we're a shoe in, everyone thinks the criteria were somehow designed to suit us even though they are based on fundamental requirements for any successful club - crowds, finances etc and areas we are ahead in.

Everyone thinks that, yet I still wont believe we are a shoe in. I simply don't trust the RFL.

thought had heard no championship club could have youth set up next year.

Aye. I did laugh. For a month all we heard was how widnes were the only club allowed to run an academy, how Leigh weren't allowed to even though they wanted to and how it was corrupt and designed purely for us. All month I asked for some context, some evidence, and got none. Then Featherstone announced they were running one next year.
