i take your points pepe. but still, there seems to be some confusion here between a fake scaly 'In' Widnes and 'THE' Widnes accent. if anything they are both displaying fine examples of the basterdised runcorn accent

I get ripped in work for my Widnes accent, i think Widnes folk just say words differently because were special

Film = Filum
Four = Fower

ive noticed my family all say symmetry when the mean cemetary aswell. cant be sure if thats a widni thing or just specific to my 'Spesh' family members.
then again, im widnes born and bred and i dont pronounce either of vikingmans examples like that

Yes, there are a few scally wannabes, who've watched a programme about Liverpool gangsters and try affect a Scouse accent in a vein attempt to look hard.

A four door Ford = A foh-wer doh-wer foh-werd.

Airport = Airpowert.

No = ner

When I worked in Manchester they said that I sounded Scouse. I now work on the Wirral and now I get ‘ay up ekethump by gum tha knows, it’s Fred Dibnah!’ every loving day!!!

hahaha. back in my rugby playing youth we would always be getting poop for being 'scousers' when we played.......i was going to list a few teams then but remembered it was when we played any team not from widnes! suffice to say it caused many punch ups. all of which us hard widnes lads won of course.
