Looks as though Quins had plenty of first team squad members against what must have been a youthful Widnes side actually. So a bit of a false result. I'm sure we'll spank them if our paths meet again this season.

Our paths wont meet again at that level though. Not a bad first run out for the 23's with a fair few new faces at this level. Im not the greatest fan of the strength of the competition that we have to play in and this game will have been one of the hardest tests we will face this year.

Not quite mate, we had Mark Calderwood playing, who has not played a first team game for us and Olsi Krasniqi who has 10 first team games to his name.
The rest was made up from our academy!!!!

well if we are going for acurracy. thats still 10 first team appearences more then all but one of our team. and its fair to say thats actually more like our academy 'reserves' most of the promising ones from the past few years are in the first team squad and were not available for selection.
so of course, fair play on the win but lets not fall prey to exaggeration.

A few u16s players and u18s in that squad.Where is Danny Hulme as i thought he would have been playing?I think this team will get better the more they play together.Is this u20s different from the reserves?Players like Ford,Scully,I,Anson need a run out before the first team.
