Exactly! Your likes of Liverpool, United and Chelsea etc wil always get a bit more say and differing designs but Adidas do Stoke, Newcastle, Derby & Boro too and all kits look virtually identical or are often very simialr to kits a top side will have had the year before!
SO'C is still a director of Stobart and still a share holder he's just decreases his stake to below 3% so as a shareholder has less influence now is all. No pointvreading explanations on trust as peoples fantasies take over
From what I gather a lot of Widnes sponsorship deals (Inc O'Neils) are ip for renewal for 2012, obviously designed to see what division we will be in. I'm not sure how long Stobart's deals are for club & stadium so as with a lot of things only time will tell!
The one thing I did hear some time last year was Stobart to sponsor SL & Tesco (who have a Stobart contract?) would then sponsor the Vikings. Purely rumour though.
I really hope that Tosco is not on our shirt next year, I dispise the company
Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm
WIDNES VIKINGS CHAMPIONSHIP FAREWELL TOUR 2011 17th April Mount Pleasant, Batley 25th April The Furness Heating Component Stadium, Barrow 15th May Tetleys Stadium, Dewsbury 21st May The Big Fellas Stadium, Featherstone 12th June Huntington Stadium, York 3rd July South Leeds Stadium, Hunslet 23rd July Arnaune Stadium, Toulouse (France) 14th August Shay Stadium, Halifax
The O'Neills deal runs until the end of next season.
Fair enough, wasn't sure tbh. Though was sure someone working at the shop / for O'Neils said deal ran up to possible start of SL (which makes sense for both sides) when discussing who gets money out of shop a while back.
Personally, I hope the club do stick with O'Neills as I don't think they could hope to get a fraction of the co-operation from the likes of Nike et al as they have had from them.
I think O'Neills have done a great job of working with the club and for fans the kit quality has been excellent, just hope they can use this to compete with the big boys when they wave their wads!
