I can see Widnes being close to selling out against teams like Wire,Wigan,Saints,Leeds,

Its a nice compact stadium which keeps the atmosphere and is a decent enough sized ground for all fans to watch their team in.

Hope you are right - our highest crowd in SL last time was just short of 10K with an average of 7k.

There is certainly the potential there for Widnes to do better, but just not sure if the general public in Widnes are buying into it just yet. Widnes fans have had quite a few years of disappointment on the pitch and I think a lot of people need to be won over by the club with big signings etc. Since the licence announcement things have been very low key and I don't think we'll get a good picture of what our likely crowds will until people get a idea of how strong we'll be. IMO the ball is very much in the club's court.

which was effectively a sell out, given we only had three stands at the time.

I can surely sere Widnes having bigger crowds than Wakey,Cas,Quins,Salford, and as Widnes have a good stadium compared to them teams mentioned,this should be an advantage into how full the ground will be week in week.

Generating more cash for the club only to b e built into a successful club in the future.

Just been an update... 96% current ST signed up with 1,300 NEW supported added too, so I'd probably stick that around the 4,000 mark! Not bad considering no new signings made yet and still 8 months until SL begins!

Who told you that mate?Hopefully the other 4% buy a season ticket or join later.1300 new is great news and I know a few who are thinking of joining later in t year.Maybe we can attract a few more from new brighton area.

I was off in calcs... http://www.widnesvikings.co.uk/article.php?id=4946 stands at 3,220! Though going off SL crowds I'd put that as more ST holders then Salford, Quins & Crusaders already.

Is that 3220 season tickets for next season? If so that is quality! Still ages to go and loads of people to be won over. Should easily be pushing 6 maybe even 6.5k when the buzz starts in the build up to next season. Average could be 7k easily maybe even 8k with a good year on the field!
