I think he came to Crusaders without having any off season so he's had to work very hard on his fitness, get him in a full off season with Mick Cassidy and he'll be firing on all cylinders next year. Also at a good age to improve.

Cross is quality player and it makes a big statement. I really hope you get some momentum and build when you return.
chemics should have always been in sl and it's disgrace that you weren't. It'll be great having our true derby back agian.
It'll take a couple of seasons to get up to pace but most wire fans would like the true derby back again.

Ben Cross isn't by any means a great player, but that doesn't make him a bad one. I just think that signing for a club like Leeds made the expectations heaped on him totally out of proportion. They were thinking they'd signed Shane Webcke, and instead got a guy who isn't the tackle-breaking dynamo they were hoping for. He'll do ok for Widnes in 2012.

when he gets in his stride then i think he'll be outstanding. it'll take some building squad-wise but widnes is
one of the heartlands rugby. when you return, i hope you you get back to normal. hope you get the crowds you
got in the late 80's\90's. widnes is a massive club and really looking forward to having the big rivalry again.
by the way, is that alan tait the full back from years gone on the logo ?

The Ben Cross signing reminds me of when we came into SL and signed Mark O'Neill from Leeds. Came over with a good reputation but struggled to settle there. We signed him, and despite having his injury problems, was superb towards the end of our survival season. I can see Ben Cross having a similar impact for you.
