A positive signing for me. We need a SL quality hooker and we've signed one. Need to keep him fit but we've made a few signings as of late that have calmed me. Must admit, when I saw the initials J and C on the text my immediate thought was "James Coyle" and I sank for a split second.

I'm happy with that, he's a good player.

As for our dual reg, I reckon we should do a deal with the crusaders. From one set of "chosen ones" to another. It would be a delicious irony whilst benefitting both teams. Or Swinton of course. We've had a good relationship with them.

Can't DR with Leigh as they are Wigan's feeder team and Fax don't need us.

We don't have any dealings with W1g4n since Shaun Wane managed to become assistant , so highly unlikey we will have any when he is head coach , total muppet

Tongue in cheek I'm afraid. Which is a bit rich considering who we've taken from Wigan in recent years.

I'm not sold on Dual reg anyway. We've done okay this season but the first season it really messed us up when we couldn't rely on the people we'd signed at key times. Seems to benefit the SL team the most although it's handy to have the players when you've got them.

Not really he thought Millward was a disgrace at Wigan that's why ain't it? You got agreement with wire so who cares?

I thought they had an agreement with Castleford recently announced? Or is that someone else?

Me too.

Smith is being reported in a lot of places as very close to being a deal. Including the Sun. So it's on the cards, hope we capture him!

Probably the most important signing you have made so far.

A good organiser with I'd guess almost 13-14 years Superleague experience is exactly what you need for the transition to superleague and he doesnt hide when things arent going well - a trait you may find very useful in a few games in your 1st season.

And his versatility will be a huge plus for you. A very competant six or seven and almost equally at home at loose forward. Can also fill in in the 2nd row so depending on future signings he can slot in almost where needed.

Some of his best performances for Warrington came when he was filling in at scrum half.

Hope he goes well for you in all but 3 games next season ( i guess we'll meet at Millenium also )
