Again why not try for Ewan Dowes? its a shame that were looking for loan players to fill a position like prop. Its not easy i understand that but this should have been sorted months back.

I still think Dowes is meant to be off Wakey but they are still trying to release players to fit them all in. Though you'd suspect their offer on the table is pretty good if he's still hanging around.

Honestly I don't think we are too desperate at prop as Kav can / will play there anyway IMO.

We are desperately short in the front row at the moment. We still need another head to go in there with recent SL experience as aside from Ben Cross the others probably wont even have 50 top flight appearances between them.

A Danny Ward type player would be fine - fairly experienced and his appearances per season are quite stable .

The way I look at it is that we have 4 certain first team props in Cross, Davies, Pickersgill and also Mullally. I also think the club do view Kavanagh as a SL prop so making 5. Then Winterstein has also played there and with a fair bit of depth in the back row not a bad option! Plus the youngsters like Gerrard & Jack Smith could get a few run outs.

Don't get me wrong i'd like another one allowing us the option to use Kav elsewhere but wouldn't say we are 'desperate' just yet which is why the club has probably took their time thus far.

If that's what you're after then Dowes would be perfect for you guys I reckon. I can't remember him ever missing a game for us through injury in the last 3 or 4 years, can play big minutes and is better than Danny Ward!

So it's two more deals done and to be announced... Who do we think? Sounds like one us definitely a prop so could well be Dowes.
