Was talking to a physio from another local SL club the other week and he said that he was under the impression that the pitch was going to be removed in the not too distant future.

He said that when his team played they had no complaints about the surface other than it was a bit harder to stop yourself. But he did say that a number of players had suffered infections in the grazes they picked up from sliding on the playing surface and were on anti-biotics. He also said that a number of our players were also suffering with these grazes that weren't getting an opportunity to heal.

From a commercial point of view I don't see the pitch being ripped up any time soon.

In another generation they will see Ian Kirke has 5 SL rings among other things and not tempting fate,but he may not be finished yet.I agree with you Harrigan.

I prefer to agree with a succession of successful coaches and Gary Hetherington and what i see with my own eyes not stats which never tell the full story

I don't see it going either. If the stories of infected grazes not healing was true then we'd be seeing the team run out with legs like leppers! Not doubting infections can happen as it sounds possible, but I just can't see it being a big problem.

I don't think he wore them, nor did anyone else.

Typical Kirke. He probably got a bit of stick for it so decided against it. Plus it was a pretty warm day wasn't it?

don't leeds train on a 3g pitch? i remember danny mcguire praising the i-pitch last season as he was used to the surface as he trains on the same type every day. like harrigan says, kirke is a waste of space......

I soppose you should know the amount of waste of space players you watch on a regular basis
