SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”
There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back! Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!
The Leigh salary cap infringement was a clerical error , but still an error , so punishable , similar to incorrect filling in of registration documents or turning up with the wrong colour kit
No it isn’t. You don’t get docked points for accidentally fielding an ineligible player or turning up with the wrong kit. You only get that for serious breaches of the rules, such as going into administration or breaking the salary cap. Leigh promised to increase their income, despite knowing this will be an impossible task, due to the costs at the LSV, in order to gain an advantage on other clubs in this league in a desperate attempt to pass the on-field criteria. This is not a simple case of clerical error. It’s cheating, Starbug. You’re lucky that the RFL had to lower the amount they docked clubs, to help the Crusaders, or you may have lost even more points than you did. The RFL would also have been wary of giving your club the kind of massive fine that it deserved, because it probably would have just ended up with yet another club in administration.

I never suggested any cheating done by Widnes , my amusement was with the fans for believing how the turnover and profit figures had been achieved
You did. You were saying that, due to the club giving false accounts, they were putting Halifax at a disadvantage. That’s basically saying that Widnes are cheating. You’re just playing with semantics here.

What the miss us does is her own concern , I stopped telling her what to do years ago , what she knows about RLcould be written on the back of a postage stamp
Then, perhaps you could do us all a favour and control your woman.

So what else do you want to know about Leigh ?
I know all that I need or want to know about Leigh.

You know all this , promising to increase income stuff , from where exactly ?
When did the RFL change the rules regarding point deductions ?
Yes a fine isn't really what we need right now , but there you go
My info about the form filling came from a current director , and former finance director at Leigh , so your info came from ?

No you weren't. We have had this discussion before. You were saved from relegation. No semantic arguments will stop the fact that you didn't go down.
And the next question, naturally, is how can so many fans criticise us and the way we've been promoted when there have been so many clubs who have been a shambles in this league and we're just about the only really professional outfit close to super league.

Have I criticised your promotion , or the way you've been promoted ( ie you are the best club , not team ) ?
Honestly ?
What you seem not to understand about the turnover, income issue is , that I'm not criticising your club , I'm criticising your ( the fans ) understanding of what the club did and why they did it , I really wish Leigh were in a position to do exactly what Mr O Connor did , but if we were and we did it , I would understand it and how and why it was done , I wouldn't pretend it was something it wasn't

It's a disgrace Chris.
