not wanting to be a dark cloud or anything, but im starting to get a bit worried about our recruitment (or apparent lack thereof) for next season. i realise the rules regarding approaching superleague players are different to the NRL (and thus we have to wait for announcments regarding current superleague players) but thus far, all the decent NRL prospects we have been linked with have subsequently singed new contracts at current clubs or signed for other clubs. at a time when other teams are now announcing the signing of some quality NRL players, we seem to be the ones not doing very much of anything in that regard.
i realise we will not be attracting the superstars in season one, but still. there seems to be little movement on this front, when our opponents for the next three years are making all the moves regarding bringing in NRL talent. If something doesnt happen soon i cant see it happening, its no easy thing moving to the other side of the world, and time is more of a factor every day, very few will make all the arrangements and then actually move in the short time between the end of one season and the beginning of pre season training.
i am not forgetting we have the Youth waiting to be given contracts or the several current players who have already been signed up. but we need that injection of quality, and im starting to worry it wont happen.
