Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

It's like that but with a rugby game at some point and thousands of viking hordes every where you go. We've got our own changing rooms now we're there that often. 8)

How dare you,Blackpool hasa great Beaches, just been awarded the best, imtempted to attend myself, still upset,at the mighty Leythers, non appearence.

All artists are willing to suffer for their art. So few are willing to
learn to draw.

And a few in America now.....

Apologies... bad taste I accept but the fact that BP has now become BRITISH Petroleum again and the cover up that the rig was set up and operated by American companies has wrankled me.

It seems like Obama doesn't actually like us all that much. The U.S. as a culture has a lot of growing up to do. Every major power has it's skeletons in the cupboard. The way this oil spill has been steered on to Britain is disgraceful and totally non constructive. BP are owned by more Americans than British, it's a major multinational corporation.

Tough. Conversations develop. It's their nature.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

It’s much easier to point the finger of blame at somebody else. That’s what politicians do, particularly American politicians.

Too right mate...
Too much blame shift.
Can we divert any and all criticism by pointing the finger and skirting well round the facts...
YES WE CAN!!!

Anyroad. Back on topic.. couldn't make the game yesterday was it was my little lad's christening. Sounded like a good match though and I've watched the tries on the video. Some quality dummies from Thacks.
Who was partnering him in the halves? Smith again?

Gutted to hear about Toa. I was chatting to his next door neighbour who drives a taxi round Warrington. He indicated that this season might be his last but I'd be gutted if that was his last game in a Widnes shirt. He's been quality for us and the way he has royally vexed off the Leigh fans only adds to the affection he can count on from Widnes fans.

So anyway... I'm the absolute scum of the earth according to some on the TIW board.. didn't go the Semi but will be in the queue for the final....

proudly waving my season ticket around for all to see.

Bloody bandwagon jumping glory supporters...     !!!!

I don't think you'll get many defending every aspect of Britains colonial past these days, but that's my point. As President of the USA, he has to deal with the Germans, with their recent national socialist past, the Italians who stood with them as fascists, the French with their colonial past, the Japanese who were at war with the USA not long ago, the Chinese, with their long history of oppression and the Middle East, no explanations necessary. He also has to deal with Cambodia and Vietnam, two cultures who may distrust the USA for much the same reasons that he might distrust us. You have to put that aside and live in the now. You can't pick and choose which elements of history you're going to hold against people in his position.

Anyway, we're way off topic!
