How's Salfords Stadium coming along then ? Actually started any building work yet ? And clearing the ground of a few weeds doesn't count as building work.

You are plain scared, because when we come up, we will be more successful than your Club ( mind you that wouldn't be hard )...........

There's nothing funnier than a Salford fan pontificating about the licencing system....

This from a club that threatned that if they were not awarded a licence then their landmark RL purpose built stadium would not be built. That had the audacity to pour scorn over those clubs that had enlisted the help of their local councils to build their grounds. That had their main development company go bust days after the announcement.

Salford are building a decent looking side for next year and are spending some 'serious' money. The fact remains that Salford Council and Peel Holdings have yet to spend any real money on the ground. All the land clearance work has been carried out using money obtained from the North West Development Agency has it not? Also whilst most other councils up and down the country are being asked to reign in spending and cut expenses including some of the most affluent areas, we are expected to believe that Salford Council are set to build a stadium and spend somewhere in the region of £16 - 20 million pounds.

Maybe it will.. Maybe Salford Council will buck the trend... Maybe they are trying to play their way out of being removed from SL.

Salford won the grand final the year we got the license so we have a right to be their, and we even won the NR cup and didnt get beat of Batley in the final , as for the Dads army thing, the average age of our squad is 26

We also won the NR cup, hence our eligibility to apply for a license. So you point is?

My point is all this bitterness towards Salford is pointless when you all havent got a clue what your talking about, fwiw I hope you get a license and I'm pretty sure you will, but with our stadium being built for 2012 its more than likely goiing to be Wakefield missing out

It's not bitterness mate, one of your lot came on here to tell us why we shouldn't be in SL, so bascially he got told why you lot may have been at risk in the same points. Remember also, Salford RLFC board voted for the current promotion system so if people don't like it they can tell them and the RFL, not us as we had no say in the matter!

Nope you were awarded a licence on the back of a promise to build a new stadium. Your on field achievements had little to do with your inclusion. That is why you were sent a letter saying that your spot for 2012 was in jeopardy if it wasn't built and ready for the start of the 2012 season.

There is little to no bitterness to Salford on here... in fact there is little bitterness to anyone these days. We have our house in order and we are happy little chickens. Any resentment has been stirred by one of your own with their original post.

Funny as they also said similar as have Castleford. FWIW IMO Wakey will miss out but their is also no denial that until recent developments i.e. the last 6 months or so your boys were one of the likely lads! Fair play for turning it around if it's sustainable though

Ahh the old bitterness argument.... Do you see us trolling your forums claiming that you shouldn't be in Super League? Do you see us starting threads about Salford's worthiness of Super League?

We're too busy concentrating on the fact that we support one of the best run clubs in European Pro RL to be concerned with clubs like yours.
