In any case,the Widnes sides over the last few years would simply have been canon fodder for Super League sides. It wouldn't have been much fun watching your side get destroyed week in, week out.

Where did you finish last season? About 8th in the 2nd tier was it? What gave you the right to waltz into SL just because you have a half decent ground?

Time for Widnes fans to face facts.

I'd Be annoyed if i was them as well. they deserve to be in there.

instead we have a Welsh team full of Aussies and a French team that despite being in Super League for a few years now managed to finish bottom last season, yeah both of them have added a great deal to Super League.

Im sure if the same happened to your team and your team was in the same situation you wouldnt be very pleased. No we didnt finished 8th we finished 5th and this is because unlike other teams were spending money on academy teams and the youth set-up not just the first team squad. Dont forget we have the best academy in England, our club is now supported very well financially with a company which is known world wide. There are also many other reasons we should of got in ahead of Celtic and Salford as we had higher crowd figures and whereas Celtic have more than half of there squad full of Aussies we have plenty of youngsters and off the top of my head I can think of three Australians currently playing for Widnes.
So your post was completely inaccurate.
