Thursday is a million miles away now and I know we'll get the nod but at the moment I feel as though were frauds.
Right hand side of the re-jigged backline got tormented in that early part of the second half. Gave away so many easy metres.
Be interesting to see Millwards take on the second half because after the first couple of scores it became a cakewalk.
Not sure of the team selection either in those being left out replaced by weaker players. Picks was dog sh*t. Surely the worst for us.'Ken' Kavanagh as equally uninterested, Ropey- ati another, Coyle ,Nev the list goes on.
Quite glad at the moment that I won't be there on Thursday. My mind will more than likely be re- Widnes-ised again by then but it all feels like a giant anti-climax at the moment.
Ropati was hopeless in defence and only out done in his shitness by Paddy Flynn. I’m not too sure if their announcer actually got it right, and someone called Ken Kavanagh actually played instead of Ben, because that wasn’t the player I’ve been watching the last few weeks.
We could have scored at least one more try the second half, if Thacks could have resisted playing yet another loving dummy, for a change. But no! There’s a gap the size of a bus two yards out, with Finnegan ready to run through it, all that was needed was a simple short pass for a certain try. It seems to me that Thacks always has only one thought, and it’s to sell dummies. He can be a wonderful player, with ball in hand, but he needs to look at who might be in a better position with a pass, rather than just pull the dummy every time. It seems to be just his first instinct. That must change!!!!
What we saw today was a well drilled side up against one that just isn’t. Our defensive line has been a fecking shambles all season and just doesn’t move up in line quickly enough. We just end up with players shooting out willy nilly and, inevitably, missing the tackle and leaving a gaping whole in a defensive line that is already looking like a dogs hind leg. Utter garbage! What the feck is the coach doing with them in training?
I agree that Picks is a bit of a liability, but he wasn’t the only giving soft penalties away today and generally looking like he can’t be arsed. We need to get Gareth Haggerty and Danny Sculthorpe fit to play, and give Pickers a few weeks/months in the reserves.
There’s no-one out there willing to take control; we have no leader in the team. We really could do with a proper scrum half. This has been a worry to me since the start of the season.
It seems to me that this licence decision is affecting their concentration. We seem to be getting worse the nearer we get to D-Day. I can’t wait to get it out of the way, one way or another, and get back to watching my team with their minds only on their rugby. And Denis Betts needs to get that defensive line sorted out. If he can’t do that then it’s time to reconsider his future.

We were as shocking as Leigh were good, It all boils down to further proof that Leigh have the best Coach outside of SL. Its criminal, Someone should take him off their hands ..

I agree. It's good program, with plenty of stuff about the opposition in it. You’re lucky to get one page on the opposition in most programs, including the Viking Storm, so hats off to them.

He could have done with throwing a dummy, when he put that pass in Ridyard's hands, for the interception! It happened right in front of me, and I don't know what he was thinking of. Not sure that Ridyard believed it either, from the look of astonishment when it landed in his hands! I can only assume that the message didn't get from Thackeray's brain to his hands in time!
