Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

Unlikely. They will probably just expand to 15 clubs, as they have stated they are prepared to do, and then enter Toulouse in 2012.

getting to a NL1 GF will not be a problem for a side that’ll be chock full of Aussies and doesn’t have to worry about a salary cap.

Sound familiar?

Its not unlikely - the RFL have already said at least one club WILL drop out of Super League to be replaced by a "top NL1 side" in 2012

Yes, I forgot that the RFL are a paragon of honesty and virtue.

They will keep to the second one though. You'll have Toulouse there with you in 2012.

The RFL have offered the French RL the opportunity to have a team in NL1 next year so I think it's a big leap from there to "guaranteed entry into SL"

The criteria for 2009 was supposed to be based on stadium, facilities, youth development, crowds etc yet they still let CC in... You can gaurantee that the rules will be shaped into whatever form so that they can to continue Dicky's expansionist crusade.

And look were Celtic are in the League.

Not doing to bad for a new club.

Put it this way. IF Touloose enter NL1 and if they get to grand finals then that shows they are good enough for SL and they will join catalan dragons.

If Toulouse struggle in NL1 then they wont get promoted.

As for people saying scrap sky to get yourselves in SL. Thats a sure fire way of ensuring you dont get in SL. Its akin to cutting off your nose to spite your face.

SL has only been expanded because Sky were prepared to pay more money because their viewing figures are good. If Viewing figures deteriorated then the SL would probably shrink down to 12 clubs again which would leave Widnes stranded again.

CC would have been granted a license regardless. The fact that they had a free reign to sign anyone without the restraints of an overseas quota has only bolstered their chances of finishing high in the table. Had there been a level playing field then I suspect that they wouldn't be such a force. In any case without our -9 deduction we would be right up there with them.

Fact of the matter is that the RFL will push expansion by any means necessary.

No, in fact it’s realty s**t!

CC are anothing club that has simply been able to recruit as many Aussies as it wants and doesn’t have to worry about the salary cap.

Even without being able to recruit players, from a distinctly less prolific pool, Widnes have scored more points than CC. They have had every advantage, and yet are still lagging behind Widnes. They will be a disaster in SL.

No it wont. It will show what a powerhouse of talent Australia is and nothing more.

SL is not the be all and end all for a real RL fan.

Right ….OK…..you think it’ll actually have some effect….?
