Huddersfield are a very good side and I was expecting to get beat yesterday but watch to your team get beat like that was hard to take. Hopefully it will give a us a kick up the backside for the Salford game and with Watts, Clarke, Briscoe and Marsh potentially back we could see our first win next Sunday.
This is a long term project and although I know we will get a few good spankings along the way, I'm just happy to be here in SL.
Keep at it you Widnes lot. Great to see you back where you all belong in the top league and lets hope its a swift return to those glory days of the seventies and eighties for your fine club.
dont be too down folks, like has been mentioned, we know what it's like to be hammered like that ,we had 5 years of it! im sure once you find your feet you'll be ok, you have some decent players ( as well as ah van )im sure you'll surprise a few teams this year, you just ran into the C+G MACHINE yesterday. well done on the 700 who made it over and gave a good account of yourselves and stayed until the end.
You can never really accurately guess the number of away fans in grounds where you can buy tickets on the gate.
I wouldn't dream of going in an end if I could watch from the side, and judging from the reaction of quite a few people sitting near me I wasn't the only Widnes fan sat at the sides. You can probably add another couple of hundred to the 700 estimate.
