Not so long ago lots of Widnes fans were baying for the blood of the coach. And for the most part, you have actually been pushovers, which is what we all expected from the noobie team with the noobie superleague coach.

TBH the worst decision of the day was to penalise Chris Dean for accidental offside in the lead-up to Wilkin's try. He was behind the man (the marker!) who the ball struck and was deemed to be in front. Shocking.

We need video refs at every match, or to get rid of them altogether, imo.

On the Saints redvee forum some are trying to say they didn't get a single pen 2nd half. Clearly missing quite a key one then

Winterstein's dissalowed one seemed odd as very close proximity for a supposed crossing (signal?) but can't be sure.

I think the OP will have been tongue in cheek suggesting we get the 2 points but obviously it's very frustrating when basically everyone (including Saints players) thought it went over bar the 2 that ultimately count.

Oh well, Widnes can be immensely proud of their efforts and also their discipline too!

The officials make mistakes every single week and I'd the RFL went down the route of giving points to teams that lost due to officials then we might as well wrap up and stop playing.

Mistakes happen, get over it.

The lance try looked a try but Wintersteins dissallowed effort I couldn't see a problem with, theses things generally even themselves out.

Winterstein's try was disallowed because Clarke went through and made slight contact with a defender. Was quite innocuous and I'm not sure the defender was even Winterstein's marker but it was a fair enough penalty.
