If Myler does move on, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he ends up at widnes. It will cost you a transfer fee (reduced, presumably, if he's in hot water as he may allegedly be) and a decent salary. Shades of Gleeson to Warrington actually.

May be a chance for O'Connor to flex his financial muscle a la Simon Moran.

I think he would be the sort of player that we would pay something of a fee for. It has been reported that we were looking for a halfback to build our squad around and SOC has said that he would not baulk at a transfer fee to get the right person. Since then we have landed Watts, but he is over here on a 1 year contract and may be more useful to us as an impact hooker along with Moore.

Who knows, could be complete bunkum or there may be truth in it, but it isn't impossible that this could happen.

im expecting him to leave wire before the season starts... wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he joined widnes... you have the salary cap space and the money for the transfer fee.

I agree, it is possible. I think we paid circa £250k for Myler. He's undoubtedly improved as a player since then and has played another 50 odd games in the top flight so is more experienced. If the price dips it won't dip below £225k, even if its a distressed sale. Don't know what you're paying the likes of Jon Clarke or Ah Van but my guess is that you'd have to make Myler one of your highest earners.
