For what it's worth, I'm delighted at Widnes' success - I want to renew old rivalries and am really pleased that a team from the right side of the Pennines will be adding value to Superleague soon.

Can't seriously believe any SL fans think: -

1) Widnes will retain the same squad. As Starbug has stated, let's see how many of 'Wire's' squad could be retained on a SC of £300k.

2) That all SL clubs won't all be better off financially, as a result of Widnes gaining a licence. Ask any SL chairman, whether he would prefer Widnes, to say Catalans, Harlequins, Crusaders, or Salford, to be in SL, and my money is on them plumping for Widnes, every time.

If Widnes approach their first three years in SL, (off the pitch) as they have the last three in the Championship, they will be a top six SL team, no question.
