The forum is dire anyway. They run a really old version of the forum script they use. No wonder it uses so many resources. Update, move to a VPS and harden the server. Offered my help but just got ignored because the staff would "need retraining" (rubbish). You can't give away advice these days.You definitely wouldn't need to meet the host. If you're doing that I question how much money is wasted on the server. They should look for a better, more reasonable host - which I'd be happy to recommend a few of.
