It seems to be that a lot of Widnes fans on here are now coming round to the idea of the franchise system because they seem to think they are a shoe in for one.
If by 'coming round to the idea' you mean acceptance of the franchise system then yes it is logical to say that we have accepted it. However, I don't quite get how you come to the conclusion that we accept this system just because you think we believe we are a shoe in?
Please explain how you arrive at this bizarre assumption.
It seems to be this view point is being held because of their lack of ability to win the Cham/NL GF. Win the GF then you can spout!
What is this obsession with us not being entitled to be confident of a franchise spot just because we've not won the Grand Final? We've satisfied the on field criteria set out by the RFL and now we've got another 12 months to further cement our position on the field. Off the field we appear to have got everything else in place. Is this the real reason why you're on here acting all jealous about us 'spouting'? It seems that your mindless 'winning the Grand Final' rant is the only argument you've got against anything reasonable that we respond with.
Your 'view point' is simply a figment of your very muddled and slightly retarded imagination. We've accepted the franchise system because they are the rules we now have to play by. Fortunately for our club we can safely say that we are satisfying those rules and stand a very good chance in the next round of applications. The only reason you are on here is because your club cannot say the same and is running on borrowed time in Super League.
