Obviously we would love to sign some absolutely top players, but realistically we need to look at players who may be willing to come, are good enough to make an impact and that will provide value for money. Looking at the players out of contract in the NRL, we should realistically be able to target players like Brent Kite, Paul Aiton, John Sutton and Wade McKinnon.

True, money won't be an issue at all just availability as we gradually look to build... heh Wire, Hull KR & Hudds have done it gradually over a couple of years so why not Widnes. We have basically the full salary cap to play with so can really invest strongly. First signing IMO will be a big one! Imagine if it was Lockyer as we went for? Other players would stand up and see what we were looking to build and also likely some SL players may fancy playing by the side of someone of his calibre.

If we can make an early statement with a big signing then we can realy start to push on and attract the bigger names. Again Wire did this with Morley and then Matt King!

I hope you do well when your up there in your new SL campaign I doubt you'll do a crusaders with the money SOC has to put into the club & with the bigger support you'll get back once you're back up there. Personally I'd prefer to see P&R back but as long as you guys do well in your SL 3 year licence period there's hope for other championship clubs who strive to be in or back in SL & it may help the RFL's decision towards SL not being completely closed shop in the future. Good luck in your SL campaign guys but not so much this thursday

Why does it feel weird that i want you to be a top 6 side when you get here, i feel almost ill, or that same guilty feeling after you've just mopped up yourself after watching babestation, when the wife's upstairs.

I agree entirely, I hope you guys do well and show that there are teams in the Championship ready to step up and take on those in the SL! I also hope you do it without the need in signing a load of aussies or SL has beens. All the best indeed you have a great club with a good future ahead.
