The offical info on parking is:

Car Parking:

There is no on-site parking at the Stadium. There is free car parking in the Caldwell Road Area – please follow signage. Motorists should be mindful that parking on streets adjacent to the stadium may lead to obstruction and difficulties for emergency services access.

ADDITIONAL PARKING IS AVAILABLE AT BOTH THE CALDWELL ROAD PUBLIC CAR PARK AND THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING (Halton council) CAR PARK, BOTH BEING ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER

BROWN ROAD SIGNAGE DIRECTS YOU TO THE STADIUM ITSELF. HOWEVER ON APPROACHING THE MINI ROUNDABOUT AT THE END OF ASHLEY WAY, THERE IS ADDITIONAL SIGNAGE (white) DIRECTING TO ‘MATCH DAY PARKING’ IN CALDWELL ROAD.

The Caldwell Road Public Car Park is free and approximately 120 yards to the rear of the Stadium and some 250 yards to the front reception area.

Those using the Caldwell Road facility will need to walk into Milton Road, turning left and then on arriving at the Traffic Lights by the Cricketers Arms, turn right. The Entrance to the Stobart Stadium Halton is immediately behind the Cricketers Arms

I think the postcode for Caldwell road car park is WA8 7JT. There is always parkopedia if you get stuck - http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/carp ... a8/widnes/

Looking forward to this game.

When we played Widnes in 2008 in the RL Cup, we came across on train and managed to get in a boozer across Victoria park, can't recall the name of it. We walked in around midday and Hull City were live on Sky TV. No sooner had they finished, Hull KR were then on the BBC playing their game against Huddersfield. Saw all three of Hull's professional teams play within five hours.

Only wanted one of 'em to win though. :D

Here's to a good game on Saturday.

Thanks for that much appreciated. Now my wife knows it's only 120 yards to the stadium she'll come with me.

Plenty of street parking near the stadium Trawlerman such as Stewards Ave etc. That will be a safe place or in my street in Shakespear road which is a nice area.If you give me a parking fee of £5 i will get the kids to look after it.

They not introduced permit parking around Widnes yet?? lol

Here in York majority of the streets have permit parking and you have to buy a book of tickets from the council to be able to park a visitors car etc outside the house.

I used to get one and then charge people to park outside my house for a ticket as was just off town centre :)

They never introduced it when i live on the street where York city football play but should have done as they would have made a fortune.

Race Days people rent their houses and driveways out.

Wonder if people in Widnes for match days could do the same. Good money maker and ensure cars are safe for those scaredy cats who think we will nick em.

Here's to a good game on Saturday.

that would probably be the Appleton Arms, although you could also mean the Horse & jockey or The Crown. The Appo has died its third or forth death in almost as many years since you were last here. its empty now. Again.
talk of Stobarts/O'Connor Group converting it into a B&B and charging top dollar to the high flying engineers etc who will be hanging around for construction of the new bridge. dont know how much truth is in that.

Did a walk on Google Earth last night and you're absolutely right, the Appleton Arms it was. Sad to hear of it's demise.

Was a hole really though. It was popular amongst 15 and 16-year-olds (when I happened to be 15,16) and when they eventually turned the kids away, they lost a lot of trade.

There's a couple of niceish pubs around Victoria Park though.
