All tries come from mistakes or luck... Every try relies on someone not doing their job by missing a tackle or not being in the right place positionally. For example, one of our players rushed out the line for Mathers' try leaving a gaping hole. As for our tactics being a bit old school, I've watched the game back and our 'tactics' are nothing out of the ordinary that you don't see in any other SL game. I must have missed all these other super league games where there isn't a single penalty for a high tackle. Let alone two or three. I could throw your way that on at least six occasions the Wakefield player stepped forward off his mark and should have been penalised for it but didn't.
Look Doctor, what with you being new to this Super League lark is you have to realise that the game is not run for the benefit of the likes of Widnes and Wakefield. We don't count. It's only run for the benefit of Leeds, Saints, Wigan and Wire (who replaced Bradford in the RFL's wet dreams).
Of course you did. You also think your team are angels. Bless you.
Why can't people see that everything you've ever said in an argument has always been correct?
All teams have injuries it's about having a squad that copes as best as it can in those circumstances, and I'm sure at some point in the season you will beat a team suffering similarly, it's the nature of the game.
Indeed they do and indeed it is. I was simply making the point that at full strength we as a team will have much more ability, experience and power in the side. Friday night will not necessarily fairly reflect how we do the rest of the season. Hopefully these players will be back for the Salford game which might give us more of an indication.
I've just watched the game back on sky plus and for you to moan about conceding two tries while down to 12 men is laughable.
Wakey fan in 'remaining biased despite watching the game on TV' shock.
How it took 71 minutes for a widnes player, (take your pick from Moore, pickersgill and cross for high shots, Moore and ah van for profesional fouls) to receive any kind of reprimand, and then for it only to be descent is a joke and showed the ref up, and perversely only highlighted what many wakey fans expected, a one sided refereeing performance.
You are absolutely right on this point. Why it took SO LONG... for Southern, Lauititi and the rest of the lads to have such an influence on a Wakefield referee is beyond me. But the pat on the back from Lauititi showed that the message had got through in the end.
As for the wakey fans shouting for widnes players to be sent off, watch the game back and ask yourself I'd the boot was on the foot and the red was continually doing nish, wouldn't you be tempted to acclaim the same? I'm sure the answer would be in the affirmative.
Whose got a problem with the fans doing it?? No problems there... it comes with the territory. The disgusting thing is that your players have started doing it. It's abhorrent in football and RL has always been able to hold it's head high as having more principles in this area. Your boys obviously don't share those principles. Fair enough. We know what to expect now.

Just get over not been able to win on your first outing whilst we were the sacrificial lambs.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”
There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back! Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!
Of course you did. You also think your team are angels. Bless you.

The disgusting thing really was the tactics used by some of your players and referee for taking no action. If this remains the widnes game plan, you're not going to like many players by the end of it. Clearly doctorate's are given away on the back of cornflake packets these days! You may be in for a long. lonely season Dr!!!

There was no issues from Widnes players until the 50th minute, or so. there was nothing before that which would have required sin binning or sending off. 2 or 3 high tackles went in from Widnes players from then on. It is not mandatory for the ref to take immediate action. It is desirable that they don't, or we'll end up with 10 men per side RL every week. Players were warned and punished by penalties until Ben Cross over-stepped the mark and was sent off.
I suppose that you missed several head high tackles put in by your very own angels?
On at least two occasions Dave Allen nearly had his head ripped off. We never even got a penalty for it. Your players were lying on all game, often for as long as 8 seconds, and we got nothing.

Now jog on you whinging tart.
Your tenacity in defending your teams indiscipline and shortcomings in that game is admirable.
But you are starting to look like a very sore loser now.
I am impressed at how unwavering and overwhelming bias is staying intact. Commendable effort but let it go man.
The fact is there are multiple infringements by both teams in all SL contests. Our game was no different. It was only the second half widnes felt the wrath of the whistle due to 3 consecutive head highs.
After a warning .. Cross again commits another high tackle. He had to walk.
The widnes discipline let you down big time.
All this childish you did it too... You did it more... You did it all game...
Is making you look a touch foolish, take my advice here..
Sit down, relax and have a coffee... Next week is another game, and another chance to grab 2 points.

I don't think it was just our discipline. Our fitness and stamina in the last twenty was poor, we stepped down and Wakefield stepped up.
I saw a lot of promising signs for us and when watts, phelps and briscoe return, we'll be fine. We missed the spark in the middle watts provides and although Wakefield fans are probably fed up hearing about watts you haven't seen him play. We are a different side with him in the team.
