I need to have a say..

When Widnes got promoted, i thought the RFL was a joke,
I still think they are a joke...
Widnes where out of there depth at the start of the season...
which they were always going to be,
being the club which had been promoted.
but, as your season has come to a close,
it has been aparent, you have ended up stronger and stronger...
and i have enjoyed watching the last games you have played on tv

I think you will do ok next season,

If P&R was brought back in and Leigh were promoted how do you think you would do in your first season and realistically how many players would be able to handle the step up?.

If P&R was brought back.....
then i think Leigh should keep at least 80% of this team, which are mostly young lads, which get on with one another,
the team spirit is brilliant, which shows on the field,
But
the squad we have would struggle, as well you know.......
i think we should only need to bring in, lets say....5 players if that...

they would have to be experienced players, old heads, who are professionals, and are not at Leigh for an easy ride...
players who the young lads, would respect, and learn there trade from........

ideal world i know....but it can be done.....

i have to say, that not only Leigh, but Halifax, and Featherstone, deserve the chance of playing in the super league

instead of the RFL moving the goal post all the time...as well as you widnes fans know about

Certainly the worst team in super league this year, the table doesn't lie.

I think only Leigh a few years back could be worse than this current Widnes side.

Yes the table dont lie we did finish bottom, but I think the worst team in the league rugby wise would have to be Castleford

Well you've contradicted yourself there.

Widnes were consistently worse than Cas, fact.

In many ways, we've had very similar seasons, but back-to-front. We suffered from an injury crisis and the likes of Moore and Watts misbehaving early on, whilst the Cas have had the same problems with Chase in the back end of the year.


I'm pretty happy with the way the team has improved over the course of the year. We were 100 miles off the pace in the first half of the season but despite the odd big score such as today, we've competed since the horror show at Cas in May.

Looking forward to next season already, I'm interested to see what the weight of expectation will do for Betts and the squad.

So Widnes finish rock bottom. Just as I predicted at the start of the season. I was spot on.
