Keeping my head down the wrong side of Fiddlers Ferry..

Well well well... : Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:21 pm
I think it is fair to say that a large part of their bid was based on their new stadium but it seems that our friends in Manchester are possibly about to run a ground.

I really feel sorry for the fans.. one of my mates at work is a Salford fan and he is a good guy who loves the club and the game. For the small number they have there they are pretty decent.

However at the same time I remember the comments from Mr Tarry and Mr Simms about 'council owned' grounds.

http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?t=416572&start=0

What it could mean is the possibility of an additional franchise space I guess..

I don't know how you lot keep a lid on your temper with news like this.
It hacks me off and i'm not even a Widnes fan (despite what VM thinks :) )

It's all wrong. Plain wrong.

Tough. Conversations develop. It's their nature.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

It was always pie in the sky. The RFL were always going to have egg on their faces with the inclusion of certain clubs.

At the end of the day we just have to keep plodding on and looking at our own development over the next couple of years and, hopefully, we'll get a place in SL no matter what happens elsewhere.

I suppose because it's hardly come as a surprise. If we go on VT to comment on it we are just dismissed as bitter whingers by the usual crowd. Not particularly arsed anymore about any club's new stadium plans and promises,it's boring now.

Sorry, what? How can you call them liars when the date you state hasn't even arrived?
