Just have a walk down Bridge Street one night! I was there a few weeks ago, and I thought I had stepped into one of those 70s revival nights!
All those lads walking around in 32" flares, three star jumpers, platform soles, feather cuts! Then it dawned on me. That's the latest style in Warrington! I went into the pub, asked for a pint of Walkers Mild, got a shilling change from half a crown and was threatened by some bloke called Rathbone who said he used to play for Warrington. Once his shotgun jammed, I was no longer scared of him!
