Been common knowledge for a while now. Can only be a good thing for our SL prospects, barring any disasters. But it may not be good for the pull of Widnes RL to the town's less enchanted rugby league fans.

Do you take any of the revenue from the hiring of the stadium - that's one plus if you do

Can imagine your attendances dropping big style next season - a dual season ticket offer may be a good idea

Could be good for you when you have got your franchise, as people in the area could get a good taste for top level SL rugby - so they will come back in 2012.

Do you have reserve team football at the Stobart - your pitch could take a bashing

AFAIK, the council will be the direct recipients of Saints rent. But the club do have a good relationship with the council.

I think double headers would be a good idea, if Saints were willing to play games on Sundays. Not every week, two or three a season would suffice. I share your view that Widnes are in dannger of losing local RL fans to the more attractive entity of SL and at that, a SL team of the highest calibre.

I think the Stobart plays host to Everton FC Reserves, but not anyone else. It will be pretty bad between February - Easter I'd imagine.

Don't get why? Not as if Saints is a million miles away now if your on about people watching them instead of Widnes!

We play most of our home games on Friday nights but we do have the occasional Sunday match (like the one just gone) and then, as per Sky demands, sometimes on a Saturday evenings as well.

I don't think there will be a crossover of fans. Unless fans are from an entirely different part of the country, most fans support their home town team.

Just out of curiosity, why would this affect your SL prospects?

I do think you will get in this time but don't see how this would affect it either way to be honest!

Just shows off the ground and facilities is all really! Would show what a full Stobart would look like comapred to a full Bell Vue etc etc etc.
