I will ask you guys is this thread not relevant.

In light of the Devestating Floods in oz, Do you think this will cause a exodus of NRL players to come over here to try and find work ?. its clearly going to take a hell of a long time to rebuild etc over there.

This seems to be a unacceptable thread on the Fax board for some reason. I really do feel sorry for the people affected, However it is just a question.

whilst this is a rather unusual question. i cant see it myself, there are what? maybe 3 NRL teams in the 'firing line' as it where. Newcastle, Brisbane and the cowboys. im not up on the exact extent of the floods but im quessing newcastle and townsville are relatively ok thus far? with only brisbane having a stadium under water. and Oz isnt exactly short of alternative venues.
so i doubt it.
even if your house had been flood damaged, NRL players are probably better placed financially than many, and upping sticks and moving myself and family half way around the world wouldnt be my first concern if my home was flooded.
anyways, i wish the people of australia all the best at this most upsetting of times. they are a resourceful, hard bunch in my experience and my thoughts are with everyone suffering at the moment!

Yes.

Look what happened after Nagasaki and Hiroshima. This country was overrun with out of work sumo wrestlers.

Also, I wonder if the floods have aided or hindered the march of the cane toads? I shall find out . . . . .

NRL, no. I suppose players at Ipswich Jets and teams in that bracket won't be playing though. Two problems, most clubs have already recruited for next season. Secondly, I'd imagine the grief in the state at the moment would prevent many players from running away.

I deleted the threads from the Fax boards as they where worded quite differently and I don’t think it is acceptable to look to profit from the pain and suffering of thousands of people.

Nat, The wording was hardly different, don't tell fibs, I said it was horrendous what is going on out there and that was about it, Nothing was said that was derogatory or anything like.

Funny i thought freedom of speech was still allowed especially when it was just a question !
