Agreed, had my doubts about him when we signed him initially and has taken a while to settle but has really come into his own this season. The lad has every chance of getting a super league contact if he carries on.

Pickersgill was much improved today also, did his job well and bagged 2 scores.

Today wasn’t really much of a challenge. Now I know that you can only beat what is put before you, but there will be sterner tests than that. It’s how the players react when losing and under the cosh that counts. Against Leigh most went missing. Some weren’t too clever against Hunslet either.

Hopefully Picks is starting to get fully fit though.

Perhaps charlie caroli could tell us whose idea it was to try him at prop? Whoever it was needs applauding 'cos his career was stalling with us until this move.

He is one of the only players deserving of a contract for next year to date
