2 disasterous showings against 'mighty' Leigh and a home defeat to that huge team Hunslet show everyone that Widnes should have their SL licence revoked. If these sort of sides can see off them easily,imagine what the big clubs like Warrington will do to them?

Widnes are already booked in for the wooden spoon throughout their 3 year stay in SL.

I'm sure the hapless 'Vikings' fans will say they will have the money to get better players,but they aren't a big enough club to attract big names.

Letting this current garbage Widnes side in with the big boys like Wire,Saints,Wigan etc makes a mockery of our sport. Get shut of this licence system and bring back relegation and promotion.

I don't agree with the licensing system either, but the fact is that we've got it and Widnes have done everything they were asked to do, to achieve one - including success on the pitch. (NRC)

The club is run very professionally and, should winning the GF have been the sole criterion, I wouldn't mind betting they would have focused all their energies on doing that.

How I would love to see this guy's club having to 'achieve' on £300k per year!

Surely if it was done on a promotion basis we would pump all our money into the first team and not have an academy in the championship

You have had a good start to the season but thats it, Coming across all high and mighty already from not winning anything and avoiding relegation due to gateshead going under aint anything to be proud of now is it.

3 years in Championship for you and us probably while Widnes enjoy the fruits of their labour. ( well back room staff labour at least ).

yeah Halifax won the league last year and actually deserve to be in the super league based on last years results, i am saying widnes dont deserve to be in super league, also there is such think as being over optimistic, darren lockyer would not sign for any superleague side.
