We should have hammered them after the first half but instead it became a scrappy affair in the second half. Not a bad result though considering the normal half backs were missing and no Pickersgill and Ropati, it shows we have good depth. Brambani was his usual tricky self for the visitors and i thought Grant Gore did okay for us at half back. Ben Kavanagh was MOM by a mile and i thought tyrer went well in the centre.

Oh and were into 4th place, bring on the France trip! cant wait!

Oh and another home gate over 4000, well done to the Viking faithful

When we went up 18-0 I thought we'd kick on and put on a big score. Instead, our heads dropped and we'd assumed we'd won already. Poor form.

Refereeeing I thought was pretty strong over all. David Platt did a decent job I reckon. We could concentrate on things that didn't go our way but no ref will ever get 100% of the calls in the game and I feel that the teams decided the score. It was a pity that our defence was so shocking at times.

Dewsbury can take heart in their attack giving us problems but our defence was so lacklustre that it was beyond frustrating at times.

That said, there were positives. Gore had a pretty confident game and once again Kav was the best player on the pitch. We did have players missing and still got the victory, this division is more egalitarian due to the salary cap so delving into your squad is more difficult. We took off a few of our key players for 40 minutes or so too, so it's not like we were full strength. I just feel like we were our own worst enemy, still, even with the squad tinkering. They were at times bouncing off us, and making lots more yards than we did.

We gave ourselves a big task and whilst we tended to respond well to a score from them they shouldn't have been scoring in the first place.

Very poor last 30 minutes from Widnes.When are we going to put poor opposition to the sword instead of giving them a sniff of hope?Our winning run continues but it's not very convincing.A marked improvement is required when we tackle Batley,Leigh,Fax and Featherstone,especially in defence.We fell for the three card trick twice in allowing Chapman to burrow over from dummy half.

Shocking defence at times, really shocking. And it wasn't tired legs or disorganisation. It looked to me like they were just coasting.

That is a brilliant attendance mate no doubt about it, i bet Dewsbury didn't bring many did they?

I was sat near most of the Rams fans and I would say they would be the ones who took it over the 4k. It didn't look like there were more than 30 over today.

Gotta say we were coasting and then switched off completely. Coyle had a great start and gave them loads of problems but after that he was marked out of the game. Kav was probably MoM but there was no real stand out.

The increase is a lot to do with how many have signed up for the Stronghold deal. The end of May was the date when you got the best deal so the numbers have increased from thereon in.
