Not my favorite scrum half in a Widnes shirt, but having said that he was playing in a average side with a poor standoff (if I am right he didn't play with Scarts) can't remember his name, help someone.

But a top class convertor of tries & a great servant to our game.

He played with Scarts and Craig Weston in the halves depending on who was fit in that first SL year.

Richard Agar was a great player for us at that level, his passing was second to none. I thought Eaton played with Dean Lawford? Whose athletic ability sadly didn't match his rugby skills.

Good player for us Barry Eaton, Widnes fans showed their appreciation of him when he played against us at Keighley last year.

He did play with Carter in our first season up. Hadn't he left by the time Lawford came in? He had some very good games without ever being the most exciting of players.

His side step was legendary. In that he probably had a 0% success rate with it.

That said, he was a solid player who didn't let us down.
