Betts names 19-man squad for Magic Weekend clash #magicweekend Vikings head coach Denis Betts has today unveiled his 19-man squad for Saturday's Magic Weekend clash with Warrington Wolves and admitted he and his players are looking forward to the challenge ahead of them; "Being a derby game, it's exciting for the players and the fans and the Magic concept obviously adds a little bit of extra spice to proceedings. "You then have to add in the fact that Warrington can hurt you with a number of plays in any number of ways, so it's going to be a very tough test for us. "It's massively important that we concentrate on our own performance and look to really kick on in this second half of the season." Vikings from: Ah Van, Cahill, Clarke, Cross, Davies, Dean, Flynn, Gerrard, Gilmore, Haggerty, Hanbury, Isa, Leuluai, Marsh, Mellor, Mullally, Phelps, Pickersgill and Winterstein. Saturday 26 May 2012 Warrington Wolves v Widnes Vikings Etihad Stadium, Manchester (KO - 4.00pm) No Dave Allen who I thought had a very good game last week and Danny Craven has been banned for four matches for kicking out at and missing the opponent. Cravell does the same but connects with opponent and only gets 2 matches. Madness. Rangi Chase got less for this cheap shot on Tangi Ropati! Good to see Tom Gilmore included. |
