Just a quick FYI for those coming up to Odsal by bus on Sunday.

The slip road leading off to Odsal Top is closed due to road works so all the buses are diverting under the roundabout. So you'd be best served getting off outside the Red Lion as the next stop is almost down by the Drop Kick, so it's a fair old walk back.

Im borderline for this game at the minute, Odsal is poop for away fans, 6 miles away from the pitch and difficult to get any sort of atmosphere going.

Ill probably still make the trip in the end though.

No, we have those. It's indoor plumbing that we're getting next year.

Where is the official car park at Odsal? In the past I've parked over the road next to the big leisure centre.

That is really the main car park. There is a car park off stadium way. So if you're coming off the motorway, you come up Rooley Lane past the stadium on the left and the leisure centre on the right. Come off the round about at the first exit then it's the first turning on the left. But I'm not sure how busy it gets on match day

Mainly doing it because the only time I went to Widnes by public transport, there was a replacement bus service back instead of the train. Only there were no signs up to advise people coming into the train station of this and it was only after the smug lover sat in his nice office at the station had seen the bus had already left did he come out and tell a platform full of Bradford fans that there was no train and we'd have to wait an hour for the next bus.

So, to deny that sort of person his fun, I thought I'd let people know in advance what was happening.

Also, as far as I know, the bus stop on the opposite side of the road (which is where most people get the bus back to Bradford from Odsal) is still open so there's less of a walk on the way back.
