As a Trinity fan who watched both games live this season against Widnes I have got to say that you have been great this season and from the look of things you will be a real force next season. I think Betts has proved himself to be an excellent judge of a player and he comes across very well as a decent bloke with a good attitude. I know you have had your fair share of bad luck with injuries and the odd player behaving poorly but the Widnes club have always put a brave face on, dusted themselves down and just got on with it. I hope you can put in another great performance next week. Got to say you got some poor decisions last night ( the sin bin was a joke and the three penalties back to back leading to Lauatitis try were the game changer for me and just came out of the blue) to go with a massive penalty count against you in the second half in the first game of the season. I thought the atmosphere at both games was great.

Thankyou for the good words Belly.To be honest i think a draw would have been a fair result and got us off the bottom into 12th place.Hopefully we can beat Wire and results go our way.We have had a fair few injuries this season, and i hope we get some good signings added for next year.Goodluck in the playoffs.

I always think well of Widnes - you've done it tough both in getting back to SL and struggling to catch up to the pace this year but as the season has progressed you've turned a corner and are competitive. I was impressed with your finishing against Hull a couple of weeks ago and I was impressed with your determination until the whistle yesterday. Good set of fans to go with it too

Hope you give Wire a shock this weekend!

Totally agree, a draw would have been a fair result, but I'm glad we won! Well done to your fans for your superb support, you didn't bring the numbers of some of the 'big' teams but you out-enthused many of them by a country mile.

I love the way you play your rugby - fast and tough - and I think we had to dig deep to win 'cos we didn't play well (probably due to the fact that you got straight in our faces and stayed there!).

Good luck next week, and I hope your return as a champion team is just one step behind ours.
