 Ganson Hangs Up His Whistle After eighteen years at the pinnacle of his trade, Steve Ganson has announced his immediate retirement from refereeing to step into the role of 'Match Officials Coach and Technical Director', vacated by Stuart Cummings departure earlier in the season. Many supporters will breath a sigh of relief as the St. Helens based official takes up a managerial position and vanishes from our pitches and screens, but he will undoubtedly leave a void within the refereeing fraternity which will be difficult to fill.
