Agreed, White and MacGraff don't seem they can cut it at this level. Thought we tried to play em like we did away at London. Keeping it tight, solid defence and complete the sets but the kicking game just wasn't up to scratch compared with the London match.
Think Betts main trouble (other than injuries) is that we can't seem to change tack if the original plan isn't working. When this happens we start to get jittery against the bottom half sides whereas against the top sides we go for broke and sometimes it pays off.
I also wonder if Brown is a bit lost with Clarke in charge, he seems to get by due to his natural ability but looks out of sorts to me.
Having said all this I don't think we've been too bad just not very good. We only lost closely to Cas, Wakey and Salford and I don't think the scorelines flattered us at all. The frustrating thing is that we were in positions of control in all three at some point then just lost it through bad decisions. Cas and Wakey played well in those games but I didn't think much to Salford's performance on Sunday, they can be much more dangerous than they showed which is slightly concerning.
Catalans will be a telling result, a heavy defeat at home will really dent the confidence and it might start looking like a miserable run to the end of the season.
