Just as I thought that our injury list was reducing, with PAV, Isa and Cahill back available, we lose Dean and had Marsh, Phelps, Joseph and Brown out of the Wigan game.

I gather from other posts before the Wigan game that there had been Twitter traffic saying that Brown, Phelps and Joseph would be out and I suppose Marsh was likely to miss the game following his injury against Catalan, but as far as I know there hasn't been anything "official" confirming the extent of the injuries to Brown, Phelps and Joseph and whether or not they are expected to be fit for the Leeds game.

A real shame that Brown was missing after his best game so far against Catalan. I am convinced he would have made all the difference against Wigan. Craven sadly wasn't quite up to speed as a replacement.

At least we should have Hock and Cross available for Leeds and maybe Marsh as he was on water carrier duty on Friday.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I suppose there was no way of DB knowing that Craven would be below par, but it might well have been better to have returned Hanbury to 6 and Owens at fullback with Flynn on the wing (or unthinkably give Briscoe a game at fullback keeping Owens on the wing, not that that was ever likely to happen!).

Any further update on Brown, Phelps, Joseph and Marsh from those of you who follow Twitter?

I don't think Marsh will be out for long. The worrying one for me WV is Brown again. Think it was bill Arthur or wells, I watched the game back yesterday and they said brown will be having tests this week and it could be a lengthy lay off.

We have no luck what so ever with injuries. Never going to have a full team player together.

Hopefully for Leeds game, we will have Hock, Cross, Gerrard?, Phelps and Marsh back.

Owens to fullback as Rhys will be missing probably due to the Exiles game the previous Friday. However we don't know if he's even going to get a game. Part of me wants him too because he definitely deserves it but then part of me doesn't because we need to keep him fresh

Shows we need more quality in depth and Brown seems a sick note.I can't understand why Briscoe never gets a chance.

Losing Brown just when he seemed to have got his game on song will indeed be a real shame. I wasn't aware of him getting a knock against Catalan, so whether it was another "training injury" I dont know! Let us hope Craven can up his game in the meantime unfortunately he is a very different type of player, more a running 6 than a play making 6.

Phelps I had heard had been carrying a knock for a few weeks. What about Joseph any news on him?

I'd forgotten Hanbury was in the Exiles 19 and no doubt dead keen to get a game, that could leave us short of inspiration at Leeds, will Hock be playing for England as well or has he not been selected, cant recall seeing the England 19 being named?

I would expect Marsh, phelps and Joseph back for Leeds, I'm not overly concerned about Kev Brown given that Danny Craven can slot in.

Offthecuff Declan isn't ready for Super League yet, he'll need another pre season under his belt IMO before he's ready to be given a chance. And as for Briscoe I doubt he'll play for us again, he's just not in betts plans.


Note gareth hock will also be back for Leeds and probably Gerrard the week after with cross.

Don`t think playing Friday and again Monday will be too much of a problem.
It happens at Easter and whilst not ideal it is possible.
Meanwhile Leeds have 7 players selected for the game on Friday although 3 could miss that game and the one on Monday!
We will also be without Jones Bishop, McGuire, Watkins, Ablett and Ward.
The other 3 injury concerns are Delaney, Kylie and JJB.

I wouldn`t put it past you to win this one.
Depends how many of our lot are going to play on Monday following the Exiles/Injuries.
Might be worth the admission money to see Hock and Bailey do battle
