Things looking a bit more optimistic for Kevin Brown? : Fri Jun 14, 2013 7:29 am
According to the Daily Star KB could play against Leeds on Monday:
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/rugby/view/320332/? "A RUPTURED bicep won't stop Kevin Brown from trying to make amends to Widnes fans. The captain was gutted that his debut season at the Vikings had already been disrupted by two ankle injuries. When he then picked up a potentially serious arm and shoulder injury 12 days ago, Brown was devastated. But a specialist has now given the 28-year-old stand-off the green light to carry on. Brown (left) said: "I am over the moon. The worst case scenario was that I'd be out for the season. I've ruptured my bicep and there's a bit in my shoulder joint but the bicep still works so I can play with it. "The worst that might happen is I'll have to have a clean-out operation which will keep me out for a couple of weeks. "But hopefully I'll be able to have an injection in it and play against Leeds on Monday." Brown was one of Widnes' marquee signings and the former Huddersfield player is desperate to show why. He said: "I hardly missed a game in six years and almost 200 games at Huddersfield. Since I signed for Widnes, I've done my left ankle, right ankle and now this." Brown, who has played less than half of Widnes' 19 games this year, injured his arm in the draw with Catalans." Good news if true, obviously we dont want to risk further damage, but if he is fit to play then great as he was looking good against Catalan! |
