A better 19 than against Wigan, which suggests that we can put out a decent 17. One weakness will be in the centres. Marsh coming back is great news, but the continued absence of Phelps and the loss of Dean means we are likely to go with Isa, who to be fair didn't play badly against Wigan, but he just doesn't offer very much in attack.
My guess would be Hanbury, Ah Van, Isa, Marsh, Owens, Brown, Mellor, O'Carroll, Clarke, Pickersgill, Hock, Allen, Cahill, with White, Winterstein, Kavanagh and Leuluai on the bench.
Unless DB decided to go for a more radical reshuffle with Owens at fullback, Ah Van and Flynn on the wings Marsh and Brown in the centres, Hanbury at 6 and Mellor at 7, forwards and bench as above! It would be nice to be able to fit Craven in on the bench to give him the chance to redeem himself after a poorish game against Wigan, but I am not sure that we can swap either White or Leuluai for him at the moment, given we only have 3 recognised props!
And Dean. Pity as he has been playing well this year.

Like the shape of your second set of backs but suggest that Betts will go for your first choice 17 with Flynn and Craven missing out.
Flynn hasn't been training with the Widnes squad so will more than likely miss out this game, if not the rest of the season.
I realise that he was dropped for the Wigan game (I assume because of the tries scored by Catalan from the PTB right on our line on his wing) he played and scored for Workington that weekend, so maybe DB has said for him to get some game time there. But if that is the case why even include him in the 19? (unless we didn't have anyone else!)
Its a shame as he hasn't really been able to get his partnership going with Marsh!
