What time do they release the Squad info for the Wakey Game? : Sat Jul 06, 2013 3:17 pm  

I thought the squad info would be out by now, or have they got 48 hours prior to the actual kick off time?

According to the "World" Cahill is back available, but no Cross, which is a pity. No mention of Allen, but I assume he will be OK after missing the Leeds game.

Our biggest worry will be covering Marsh in the centres, since I assume our only cover will be Isa. I hope that Brown, Mellor and Ah Van are all OK to play.

cross, mellor, dean, pickersgill, flynn and white missing.


might get dominated in the front row in this one, back row is fine but our props minus Jospeh are a little light weight up against poore, amor and wilkes etc.

I think Mellor is a big miss for you - he's been very impressive this year and IMO should be in contention for young player of the year.

Yep he's also a defensive machine, it will more than likely be brown and craven at 6 and 7.

Where did you get this from - nothing on the club site yet?

I'd go with backs as last game but Craven at SH; Forwards Kav; Clarke; O'carroll; Allen; Hock; Cahill.
Subs Gerrard; Winterstein; Joseph and Gore (as cover for Clarke) or Lulu.

Yes Mellor will be a big loss, his attacking play has improved massively this season, but we will also miss his defence out wide, Craven hasn't really looked up to his best, since his return, mind you the Leeds game was no real indicator, surprised to see Marsh back so soon.

I wonder if Gore will get the chance to play off the bench and give Clarke a bit of a breather.

Given how vulnerable we are at going 12/18 points down early on, if they come at us like a train, as they did when at the Stobart/Select Security Stadium then it could be all over by half time! According to Cahill on Radio Merseyside they have been working hard on defence all week, lets hope they can put their hard work into practice and still have time to attack!

I wouldn't be surprised if Betts went with Clarke and Brown at halves, with Lulu at 9. gore on the bench JIC that doesn't work.

Mellor will be hugely missed. Not had the credit he's deserved this season and we will need certain other players to step up and earn their money!
