Reading the report in League Weekly it seems Lawton in particular had a decent game and Flynn scored another brace of tries, without any apparent defensive howlers this week. We are probably doing the right thing with both players getting them experience in the Championship. Flynn we know is a great attacking winger, but can get caught out in defence, with lapses in concentration or poor positioning, he wont be quite so exposed at Champoinship level and can hopefully improve his defence.
Lawton just needs regular game time and a bit more aggression, he has got the skills, but far better for him that he can build up his experience with Worky rather than the harsher environment of Superleague. He should be ready for a bench place next season with a battle hardened campaign behind him in the Championship!

Glad to read that they both did well.

Flynn is somewhat of an enigma in defence. Poor on the wing where he gets drawn out of position too often particularly near our line, but pretty decent as a fullback with his pace and excellent catching skills!

The whole of our team can be very poor in defence ,especially around the play the ball.

Both lads had good games. A bit ironic though that Flynn's only mistake was to drop a high bomb!!! He took both his tries very well. The first was from a nice little kick through from Lawton. The second he burst through the Dewsbury line on his own 30 metre line and outpaced the full-back to score under the posts.

Lawton set up Town's second try with a lovely pass to Andy Morris and was there to take a return pass and then pass it the other way to Callum Phillips in support to score by the posts.

Town fans would all like to see more aggression from Adam but our coach described him after the match as "a number 6 in a giant frame".
