Sunday and im bored so i thought i would bring up a few stats (up to date as of now with 5 games left), Rhys Hanbury stands out like a sore thumb. He's in the top 10 players in Super League based on OPTA stats, are we to reliant on him? Jon Clarke dominates the runs from dummy half and is second in super league only to Danny Houghton. Gerrard also has an impressive tackle count considering he's missed a number of games with injury.

Interesting stats, especially the one about Clarke's dummy half runs. Don't know what else Hanbury can do, but plenty of people on TIW wouldn't have him in the team, especially at full-back. Unbelievable.

An extremely large proportion of Widnes fans always have a problem with our top class players. They always have from what I can remember and have been to it was the same in the 'glory years' Hanbury, Hock, Brien this season have all been roundly slated for making errors in games yet in the same games thy have still created / scored 2/3 tries!

There are fans who would have all 3 of the above dropped, which shows what absolute nonsense some of them talk and they'd be the first to demand the club spends big too.

Hanbury has been our most exciting player for many years. I can't believe we managed to keep hold of him and to be fair to Betts - it was a masterstroke moving him to full-back this year.

Kevin Brown gets a lot of stick too. His creativity is there for all to see. Top signing I think.

He's defence is pretty poor but he more than makes up for it in his attacking prowess.

Dave Allen 533 tackles. Definitely stepped up to superleague level.

Backrow next year. Just hope Tickle can provide a similar work rate to the other two
