Widnes great effort playing against a Wigan team and the referee who was a disgrace, as was Matty Smith at the end. Good luck for the rest of the season from a Lions fan.
How do we expect the young kids who were there tonight and new to the game to understand the rules with that idiot in charge. The dirty play Wigan were allowed to get away with sends out all the wrong messages for a family sport. Childs lost control of that game and should be held to account.
Heremaia was always a thorn in the Widnes side when he was at Leigh in the old National League One days and a player we supposedly tried to sign numerous times in the past. Since then he's played Test RL and NRL - hopefully we keep him fit. I thought Manase gave us some much needed vigour up front too.

When squad was announced I said I was still not sure about Betts as a coach. Even though "I" may have doubts, the players obviously do not. Last night proved beyond doubt that the players are definitely, definitely playing for Betts. The belief, guts and team spirit showed last night, was exceptional. Well played all.
Having slept on it I am a little disappointed,we could have been done out of the full two points.Yes I know it is a big relief to salvage something after what happened and people say the sending off lifted the team and gave us spirit but who can say for sure? Yes we weren't playing well at 0-10 but who is to say we wouldn't have woken up and gone on to win comfortably with 13 players ? Well done to the team on a fantastic effort but once again everyone is talking about the reff
That was a real gutsy performance from the lads to show such determination and fight with a man down. Instead of being stretched as I feared in the 2nd half (apart from their last try), I thought we looked like the team with an extra man. You could sense the belief from all the players that they were going to have a go and get something. A hard won but fantastic point gained. The atmosphere inside the ground was great in front of a bumper crowd. Many there for the first time, and hopefully will be keen to come back for more.
