THE wife of rugby league legend Andy Gregory has tragically died at the age of 39.
The former Great Britain and Wigan star’s wife Alison suffered a brain haemorrhage on Sunday as she walked for a meal with her mum.
Alison was put on a life support machine in Hope Hospital, Manchester, but it was turned off last night.
She leaves a 15-year-old daughter Kirsty and an 11-year-old son Brad.
Devastated Gregory, who won 26 Lions caps, said: “Alison gave me the best years of my life.
“It is tragic that somebody who was super fit and had so much to offer has died at 39.
“Everybody is hurting because everybody knew she was a gorgeous girl and always had a smile on her face.
“She had two cracking kids and I’ve got to be strong for them now.
“Alison will be looking down on us now and all I want to do is make her proud of me.”
