Barrow were far the better side and showed us how far off the pace in the race for top spot we are.
Even after losing Dallimore they dominated in every aspect of the game , we lacked direction and other than Douglas lacked aggression in the collision.
Our creativity in the halves was shocking in the second half and showed no direction what so ever.
Some of our plays were poor, but others were down right dumb .................. Matty kicking on the first tackle , Tom knocking on then standing like a cabbage while the Barrow winger picked up the loose ball and made meters, Johnson throwing the ball for an intercept on our 5m line and Tom driven back over the line for a drop out.
I know wingers try to ease the work on the forwards by carry out of line defence but on three instances this year Tom has been dominated and driven back over the line, giving away a drop out.
No disrespect to the kid but he doesn't have the size of Sam to ride the collision and land on his front for a quick ptb.
Peltier looked unfit and made very little impact when introduced to the action.
I think people calling for others to be given a go are a little naive , we don't know the situation with players injuries or the impact of Covid on the squad. I would imagine if Watson Boas was fit he would 100% make our game day 17.
Overall however I'm happy sitting third in the table halfway through the season ,but feel we need a few more quality players to help us push for the play offs after yesterdays display.
I didn't expect us to win but I would have been happy with a good performance , we looked a jaded side and the weeks break may do us good and give us time to maybe get a few players in and a win at London is now a must.
