Seen in last week's League Express : Sat Dec 10, 2022 2:50 pm
In last week's copy of League Express was a letter from me about how the mental health of some players may suffer when they finish playing, of some referees when they finish refereeing and of some supporters as they grow old. My suggestion on how to stop this happening or maybe just slow it down is to take up the past time or hobby of writing a novel based on your own life.
Many people who I have said this to have told me that they thought it was an interesting suggestion but that they would just not know how they could do it. For such fans I have also written three pages of advice and encouragement. I am in a good position to offer such help because since starting writing my first novel "One Winter" in 1988, I have now written nearly half a million words in a serie of six novels. If you would like me to send these sheets to you, E Mail me at wgeofflee@gmail.com and ask for Geoff Lee's RL Writing Advice. However if you prefer to read one of my novels first, or even give one as a Christmas present, then visit the London League Publications website at http://www.llpshop.co.uk. Click on Books and then Fiction. My advice would be to read my latest novel which is called "Three Good Years". It is set between 2006 and 2008 with a background of Work, Family Life, Saving the NHS and Rugby League. See also my web site at geofflee.net |
